sorbus ulleungensis olympic flame

This columnar, deciduous tree makes a fine specimen for small gardens and confined spaces. The young, pinnate foliage of Sorbus ulleungensis 'Olympic Flame' emerges bronze, maturing to green in summer. Prominent clusters of tiny cream flowers are borne in Spring, and later succeeded by rounded orange-red berries that provide a fine autumn display. As autumn progresses, the foliage turns to a fiery mix of bronze, orange and scarlet that glows like a beacon on even the dullest days. Height: 6m

Commonly known as False Acacia, this golden-leaved tree makes a colourful specimen plant. The pinnate foliage emerges citrus yellow, and darkens to chartreuse-green before autumn turns it buttery gold.
